Landscape Leadership® Launches Podcast Production Services

For those of you who’ve been following our journey at Landscape Leadership® over the years, you know we’re always on the lookout for innovative ways to serve the lawn and landscape industry.
Today, I’m incredibly excited to share something that’s been in the works for a while: the launch of Podcast Production Services for the Green Industry.
Why We're Embracing Podcasting in a Big Way
Let me take a step back and explain why we’re doing this. For years, we’ve been helping green industry companies (lawn, landscaping, tree, pest control companies) grow through digital marketing. That’s not changing.
Along the way, we launched our own podcast and found it to be an incredible tool for connecting with our audience. As a result, we’ve been approached many times by other industry partners (coaches, associations, consultants, software providers, or equipment suppliers) to see if we could help them with their marketing strategy.
Although we declined helping them with websites, ad campaigns, etc., we’re excited about an opportunity that has presented itself.
Podcast production is a medium that many of these green industry partners highly value, but struggle to execute well. So in early 2025, Landscape Leadership® made a strategic hire, paving the way to create a podcast network.
On the fence about podcasting? Check out these stats:
-
62% of U.S. adults listen to podcasts each month, up 20% in just three years.
-
82% of business leaders who host a podcast say it directly helps build trust with customers.
-
Podcasts rank as the #1 most trusted media source, ahead of social media and online news.
Introducing Scot Leonard & Our Shared Mission
I’ve known Scot personally for four years. Years ago, he started helping me with some of our own social media video content, but quickly landed a job at a successful B2B podcast production company.
However, some years later, I’m happy to say he joined our team in the spring of 2025.
Scot tells me he’s a “jack of all trades but a master of none”. I think his humility doesn’t allow him to see things clearly. The guy has lots of amazing talents, two centered around podcast production and social media.
Scot has worked extensively with a full production team to create amazing B2B podcasts in all sorts of industries. His ability to quickly and thoroughly understand a business and harness that information for a successful podcasting strategy is something to behold.
He’s a highly creative guy who also has a profound level of organization. That’s a difficult combo to find, trust me!
This past spring, I took Scot out to coffee and told him the vision that Landscape Leadership® founder, Chris Heiler, and I shared. In addition to revolutionizing contractor social media content, we wanted to support these green industry partners with whom we’ve come to build relationships.
We wanted to launch a network of premium-quality podcasts, all geared toward helping suppliers connect with the amazing contractors we all serve.
We have always focused on quality over quantity. So, we were inspired to create this network with a limited number of shows in exclusive categories.
Some of these exclusive categories include:
- Business coach
- Peer group network
- Recruiters
- Trade associations
- Software companies
- Robotics/AI tech
- Manufacturers
- Material suppliers
- Mergers and acquisitions (category taken)
- Marketing services (category taken)
Our goal (for now) is to produce 5-10 shows in these exclusive categories. So without further ado, let me introduce you to our flagship show in the Mergers & Acquisitions category.
Bringing "The Deal Factory" to Life
Our first show on this new network is The Deal Factory, and Scot has to say, it’s been a blast to produce.
We partnered with 3PG Advisors to create their podcast that dives deep into the mergers and acquisitions landscape.
We didn’t just set them up with a microphone and wish them luck. We crafted a detailed strategy with brand/messaging guidelines.
They don’t just send us Zoom recordings for us to polish. We actually went on-site, optimized their studio for professional-quality recording, and set up remote production technology so we can help produce episodes seamlessly from anywhere. Check out their first episode below.
We are also taking care of the nitty-gritty details like creating and posting episode clips on social media to ensure each episode gets the visibility it deserves. Here's an example of the teasers we post for them to their social channels.
If you’re intrigued by the M&A space in the green industry, you’re definitely going to want to subscribe to the podcast and follow them on socials. Their first episode launched in mid-October 2025.

What Our Clients Say
I'm pretty proud that we're already batting 1,000! Here's what Jeff had to say:
"We’ve had such a great experience with Landscape Leadership. Their process is clear and organized, which makes everything easy on our end, and their technical know-how gives us total confidence. Chad and Scot are a pleasure to work with and really understand our industry."
- Jeff Harkness, CEO of 3PG Advisors and host of The Deal Factory
Calling Green Industry Podcasting Heroes
There are two types of people I want to speak directly to. If you fit either of these bills, we’d love to talk to you.
The Novice Podcaster
If you’ve been podcasting, but have realized you either a) bit off more than you can chew or b) know your production value needs a lot of help, we’d love to talk to you.
Heck, I was a novice DIY podcaster myself. Look at this comparison!
The DIY Podcast Approach
For many years, Chris and I would start a Zoom call, record, and then try our best to trim dead air out, add a show intro, etc.
It kind of worked, but didn't make us look like a multi-million dollar organization. It was doing us (and our guests) a disservice. Check it out 🤦🏻
Our New Leveled-Up Production Value (thanks, Scot)
When we decided to launch podcast production services, I told Scot, "Let me see what you can do." I was blown away 🙌🏻.
Not only was the production value superior, but it also saved me about 4-6 hours of work per episode!
This is one of the earliest episodes, and I can tell you it's getting better each time we produce one. Here's me and a guest having a great discussion about branding.
New to Podcasting?
You’ll quickly realize there is a lot more to creating a winning podcast than recording and posting. Instead of producing years of mediocre content, why not start with a team that makes it easy and effective!
Our team can help you nail down a show name, artwork, and all of the strategic parts that you’re probably going to miss. Start off with a bang!
