Webcast: How to Build a Presence Online Without a Traditional Website
Chris Heiler | July 30, 2010
This is the recording of the July 29th, 2010 webinar titled How to Build a Presence Online Without a Traditional Website.
We discussed three things primarily--Blogs, Facebook Pages and VisualCV.com. Of course, we also drifted into other areas as well :-)
The video is a large file and may take a few minutes to load in your browser. It is a .WMV file and probably requires Windows Media Player to view.
Below the video are a few notes and links to things that were brought up during the webinar. If you have additional questions or thoughts, feel free to leave a comment below.
Sendible.com- Post to multiple social networks and blogs from within a single application. Offers a free, basic plan. I personally use this (also use HootSuite).
Posterous.com- The easiest way to blog. You can have multiple blogs and also "autopost" to multiple social networks and other blogs. I have two Posterous blogs- my Lifestream and one for business. I LOVE POSTEROUS!!!
Tineye- "Reverse image search". Use this to find out if anyone is using your images online without your permission.
Online Audit service- email me if you would like more details
Google Analytics- Free service that measures everything on your site, from number of visitors, to where traffic is coming from--anything you want to know.
99Designs and Elance- Great source for freelance designers who can inexpensively design/customize a blog theme for you.
