I was having such a great day I had to have some fun with this week's Profit Tip. I dropped Charlie off at day care and on my way home I heard one of my favorite songs from the 80's--Run Runaway by Slade. Not to get off topic here, but Slade absolutely made Quiet Riot.
So, as I drove around waiting for the song to end (does anyone else do this?), a verse stood out to me--the lyrics below. The rest of the song makes no sense.
See chameleon lying there in the sun,
All things to everyone,
Run runaway!
You better believe I sing when I'm driving...loud; and I get the air drums banging. I dreamed of being a rock star but my parents wouldn't let me get an electric guitar back in '85. I settled for landscape design.
Okay, back to the lyrics.
See chameleon...all things to everyone.
You see where I'm going with this.
